Need some advice on AEM V2

I received my AEM V2 CAI and noticed the piping has a slight dent to it. I am not sure if this is normal and if it will effect the install and or performance so I wanted to get some opinions if I should keep it or just return/exchange it (pic is below).

Also, for those of you who have the AEM V2 how do you deal with snow? We had three snow storms last year with over a foot of snow making the car covered. I understand the risk of hydrolocking due to water, puddles etc. but now thinking about selling it and doing a SRI due to worries about snow.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

pretty sure it wont affect performance in any way. however if u can get another one for free, then go for it. btw snow is not a worry, but rainstorms will be.

Mine arrived like this too. I just bent it back out. Really shouldn't change the performance aspect of it at all.

^Thanks man. I've heard that most people get the CAI a little bent or with a few dents.

My main issue is now with snow, will a heavy snowstorm effect the CAI from hyrdolocking?

I think I may just sell it due to the rain/snow concerns.

Snow should not be able to hydrolock seeing as its in a solid form and would need to be melted in a massive quantity to be sucked upward. Heavy rain maybe an issue but I really doubt that too. From reading these forums it really sounds like the only way you could hydrolock with a CAI is by submerging the intake in a puddle. Which means it would have to be deep as shit for this to happen and if your running into an issue like that I would recommend buying a boat lol.

^LMAO..ya maybe I'm just paranoid. So, did you notice a good gain with the intake. Mostly looking for a nice growl and slight low to mid-range torque.
