Need help spending money...
I am wanting to buy a j pipe and the HFPC but am not sure if I should get the rv6 Jpipe or go with hfpc now and wait to se what happens with the new ATLP one coming out. Either way, I will be buying them one at a time due to affordability. What would y'all do? Is it worth waiting to see if ATLP can pull it off or should I just stick with Richie all the way? So its cats or j-pipe??

^get your info straight.
there is no bad in cabin smells with PCD's.
you're just going to have to realize what the PCD's are and what it does.
its a straight pipe that gets rid of the catalytic converter, so of course there is going to be a smell emitting from your tail pipe.
THERE ARE NONE, WHAT SO EVER, a smell in the cabin.

and the OP wasnt event talking about PCD's, JJH....
what the heck is wrong with yoU!??!?!??
lol
catesbro, everyone starts off with Jpipes as their first mod.
its the easier of the two to install.
if its your first time modding, i'd stick with the jpipe as the first mod.
its also a great starting point, to see if you really really want to continue to spend money on these "power mods"

On percocet right now because I just got my wisdom teeth pulled
I'm only regurgitating the rumor that PCDs will cause bad in-cabin scent, not going from personal experience.

I also have the HFPC's. Considering the cost and difficulty with installation, I can second the notion to go with the jpipe first. It's a novice install (except sometimes the bolts can be a PITA if they're rusted). I see your predicament with RV6 vs. ALTP but I really don't think it's not going to be night and day difference either way. All the jpipes have subtle differences but it's just that - subtle. Each of them offers a significant increase in flow which is the real point.
I'm very happy with the quality and results of the RV6, plus it's available now (and on sale if I'm correct). But whether you decide to go with that one for now, or wait for the ALTP, I'd go with the jpipe first. If you're happy with it then fork it out for the HFPC's. I've found the gains to be less than the jpipe but certainly worth it if you're serious about freeing up some ponies.

now thats bangin Richie!!!
OP, I know a ton of people are waiting on the ATLP jpipe but i would just suggest, get the RV6 for that awesome price and when the time comes, sell it for the same price
but I have to disagree with Justn (partly) on the in-cabin smell....he is correct that the smell comes from the tail pipes, but however, if your door/windows are open, you will be able to smell it in the car.....but yes, if the windows are rolled up, no smell inside what-so-ever
either way the gains are worth it IMO....so if you are in a state which doesnt require emissions, I think this is a great mod....

Am I nuts for liking the smell with pcd's?
I have never had a stinky/sulfer/rotten egg smell. mine just smells like unburnt fuel or heavy exhaust fumes.
however i dont sit in traffic too much, as my commute is usaully small trips or "pretty weather" driving.
op...if not making a single big purchase, then get j-pipe first, then pcd's

I agree the J-pipe should be first. Like swoosh said with the windows up and also while just driving around with the windows down there is not a smell it is only at a stop that you will get that. I don't even really notice it anymore to be honest.
