Need Help Finding Someone to Finish Modification

Hey everyone! I am posting for my fiancé (he doesn't know that I am) but, he has an acura tl and his "friend" was supposed to turbo charge it and all this other stuff. I would have to ask him what else needs to be completed. But the guy has had his car for almost two years and he says he has been working on the welding something recently. Well now the guy isn't answering his texts or calls. My fiancé has gone out of his to help this guy so that he had extra time essentially working for him with out getting paid so that he could focus on getting his car done. I am tired of him taking of my fiancé and I know my fiancé is upset but wont say anything. So if someone could please help me find someone and I am completely car illiterate, I am book smart and a computer whiz but I am the person who calls triple a. I really want to do this for him because he has been patient and looking forward to this but I wouldnt even know where to start. So any help would be appreciated thank you!

What zip code(s) do you all reside in?
If it is in a relatively 'urban' area, one can find automotive speed shops that do custom modifications with through google research.
If you are lucky to find one that will work on the BF's Acura, it most likely won't be cheap; thus, the reason he (BF) has tolerated this "friend's" delay.
Perseverance / critical thinking / due diligence will eventually win the day in such an endeavor.
Good Luck.

Hey Madysin, I get how frustrating this must be. A turbo build on an Acura TL isn’t a small job, and relying on a “friend” without a clear plan usually ends up like this.

Best thing now is to:
  • Drop your zip code so folks here can suggest legit shops near you.
  • Look up performance/tuning shops that list turbo or custom fab work — reviews on Google or local FB groups help.
  • Be ready that pro shops won’t be cheap, but you’ll finally get accountability and a timeline.
You’re doing something really thoughtful for your fiancé. Even if you’re not into cars, just helping him connect with the right shop will mean a lot. Good luck, and keep us posted!

I wish it was an urban area! I am originally from Philadelphia, but moved back to where I went to high-school to be with Travis. We are currently located in 17236 which is Franklin County Pennsylvania right above the Mason Dixon Line.
The guy said to finish the car he needs run the intercooler piping, mount the intercooler piping along with the radiator, run the exhaust, tune it and then its done.
I told my fiance to not do this from start because this guy had reviews on his site where people said he had that he had kept their car hostage. And the guy had never done an Acura before and wanted to do one so that he could he learn how to do one and in the process blew up two turbos. So now he wants to take back his car unfinished and sell the parts and I don't want him to do that.
