Need help designing a single 2.5" exhaust

Hey guys, looking for help designing my exhaust for my 05. I'm planning on getting the RV6 test pipes and one of the available J pipes, maybe the new ATLP (if it ever gets released). They are all 2.5" outlet so I want to do a full 2.5" single exhaust for both cost and weight savings. So after the J pipe I need a single resonator and then a single muffler. I'll then have a shop weld everything up. My question to you guys is, which ones for each should I consider? Preferably, the whole setup should not be much louder than say the ATLP quad system. I also want it so I can place matching dummy tips on the side which would be left empty by doing this type of system. Either stock tips or something aftermarket. Again, any advice will be greatly appreciated!

go to a 3inch and you'll gain more.

also, just get richies v3 jpipe, it removes the cat, so that you dont need a test pipe.
Does richie even sell the test pipe any more?

Pre-cat deletes that is. Third cat delete would be achieved with the J pipe install. Wouldn't 3" be unnecessarily large if the J pipe outlet is 2.5 already? Would I really see any gains going to 3" or just increased noise/cost?

Sonnick has a collector going from 2.5 to 3.
he saw SOLID gains on a 3.0 motor.
