Mods: What you did and why you do or do not like it.

Hey People. I've come into some cash to throw at my '05 TL 6sp that's completely stock right now. I'm looking for the best bang for the buck and not something that will create drone in the cabin. If you've got some time I'd appreciate your input as to what you've done to your ride, how well has it worked for you, whether or not you like it and if you'd go a different route if you could. I know it's a lot, but you guys are the experts at what works and doesn't since you've all done something to juice up your ride. Thanks a ton!!

atlp/xlr8 j-pipe = $400
unorthodox racing pulley = $220
aem v2 intake = $300

those are the best. most noticeable performance parts. then after than u can do the rest of the exhaust with:

rv6 pre cat deletes = $275
rv6/atlp/xlr8 3rd cat delete = $60-110

and then a catback that ranges from $800-1200

look at the sticky in this subforum for other mods, then search on google for the websites. then search on here

when u say some cash u mean u don't have like 5k to spend right? if so then do everything greco says. then if u still got money to spend either get supercharger ~4k or turbo ~6k.

gunna chime in here and ppl will hate.

get the j-pipe used on the bm its one of the biggest gains and it will cost u have as much as new

get an intake from ebay for 40 bucks and buy an aem filter. same thing, its a pipe and will cost 1/3 of an aem pipe

option racing pulley cost about 35 dollars and the 2nd gen guys have been using them for years.

then u still have money left over to drop your car

x2 for just building your own intake. No need to waste some money on a name.

j-pipe, cat back exhaust, intake = I'm very happy but all this cost about $1500

if you want even more performance, add pre-cat deletes to the above set-up and your flying

I like it. I'm not one to skimp, but if the quality is good and the used parts are decent I'm game. Question...and it may be something I should know, but what "the bm"?

Just installed
-XLR8 Exhaust -$900
-INJEN CAI - $225
-RV6 Test Pipe -$75
-RV6 J Pipe - 300

= Car feels and drives like a brand new car, and it is amazing for a low price of $1400!

So I made some calls to a couple local Honda graveyards in the area and found a rear-end wreck with a K&N CAI on it. Looks brand new...must not have been on the car for very long before it got totaled. $75. Now I think I'll keep my eyes peeled for a j and test pipe. Also, the only Option Racing pulley I could find was for a 2G...nothing for the 3G 3.2. Is there a difference or will the 2G pulley work on the 3G 3.2L?

when i did the catback and CAI i lost a lot of low end torque, definitely get the lightweight crank pulley and it all comes right back, j-pipe and high flow cat are next on my list, i just never got around to em. n from what ive heard that alters the note of the exhaust
