hey guys i have a 2006 acura tl a spec 5 speed automatic and i was thinking about getting a comptech supercharger for it. whats exact mods would i have to make or any changes and how much would it cost(excluding the cost of the supercharger)? thank you!also any downfalls or longterm problems?

I wouldn't do it unless your a 6spd.the auto have problems stock, let a lone with another 80whp and 100wtq.

You'd probably need transmission upgrades. Stronger stall converter, beefier clutch packs, etc to handle the added torque. Might want to poke around on Level10 to see what upgrades they have.

As NvrDwn said, you have the '06 auto transmission. Unless you swap it out for an '07'-08 you'll most likely have problems. Even then, you may still have problems and you'll likely need to upgrade other things to handle the added stress.

i want that supercharger so bad but i just dont think 4 grand justifies 60 hp...i just can't do it..now if i was bill gates :0
