Sure...it's on amazon...
Mine flaked too...but with the dark gunmetal, you really can't tell that much.

I searched for "meth" and this thread popped up. Very nice write up J! I know you guys don't have this problem in Fluriduh, but up here in Chiberia, my weighted metal knob gets so cold that the car is uncomfortable to drive, even with gloves.

Brb going to go play with my knob.

Funny...I am strongly considering that carbon fiber weighted one as an alternative. Won't get hot...it's 50 grams heavier than the mishimoto...looks cool and different...and won't break the bank.

Holy shit...these look cool

I've got this one:

WC Lathe Werks | Truly Unique Shift Knobs, Proudly Hand-Crafted in The USA!

Weighted, hybrid with copolymer top and stainless bottom. I found someone selling it on another forum for $80 and it was still brand new.

It's not as expensive as the TWM hybrid knob and nicer IMO.

I looked at the carbon one too, for the same reasons you are, weighted and doesn't get freezing cold or burn your hands on a hot summer day. I think the lathe werks knob is the best one that fits that category that I found.

Think I remember seeing on another forum a guy take an all metal knob and plasti dipping it so it wouldn't heat up.

Really? I had to go Ebay...Amazon didn't have it prime with the 6 speed, or at all, now that I looked again. You sure you got the right one?

Just came in yesterday- it was this one:
Mishimoto MMSK-CF Carbon Fiber Shift Knob https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004UVI0RU..._ydNZub1SQZCXQ
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004UVI0RU..._ydNZub1SQZCXQ
It fits, but I don't know how I'm going to connect the ring that holds the boot to the knob- any ideas??

I used one of these for my boot:

GrafiXpressions - Express yourself in vinyl form!...

I didn't use the little captive screw, it offset the retainer quite a bit when I did. So I just put a nylon bushing that is about 1/2" tall just below the boot retainer that had a small enough inside diameter to just fit onto the shaft of the shifter. The shifter in my accord tapers and gets wider, so the nylon bushing won't slide down past the taper because it just fits the smaller diameter. Then I just put the boot with the retainer on top of that and it holds it perfectly centered and right at the right height for the knob.

Here's the spacers, I've got a ton of them actually.

Round Spacer, Nylon, Metric, Made in US: Hardware Spacers: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific Round Spacer, Nylon, Metric, Made in US: Hardware Spacers: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

I don't remember which size I bought.

Can actually remove the shift knob and the boot will stay right where it is, it also just happened that the diameter of the delrin boot retainer is the same as the diameter of the bottom of my shift knob.

Nice...that knob was out for me because was light weight. I love heavy weight!
Thanks for sharing.

I used 2 thick tie wraps with a garden hose o-ring sitting on top...I'm able to slide it down when threading and then push it up for the final few turns so it's snug.
