I Go-Pro'd a quick vid of my 07 TL-S with the new RV6 V3 J-Pipe (along with a mid-muff delete and intake res delete). Car was filthy and it was freezing out (lots o condensation in the exhaust) but I just wanted to hear what it sounds like behind the car. Kinda did a decent rolling burnout

How are the gains? Do you feel them at all? Any overall changes to your driving experience?

I'm planning to get these installed soon, and very excited to know if they're worth the money as everyone else on AZ says.

 

If I change anything it will be to do the RV6 quad exhaust. It has a bit of rasp to it when warming up but I imagine that should tone down once it has a chance to build up some carbon in the j-pipe but the mid muffler delete has more to do with that than anything. Aside from that, I love it. I will make another vid with the camera closer to the exhaust here soon.

Being that I don't generally beat on the car I have not noticed a huge gain other than it pulls harder up top. I wouldn't be surprised if it put down 10-15 more at the wheels. I mainly did this mod to make it sound better as well as pick up a few ponies. I don't want to do too much to the car because I am picking up an 09 white pearl on black IS-F as soon as one turns up locally at a dealership

Sounds really good, especially when you bouced it off the rev limiter. Keep up the good work.

 

What's funny is that's the first time I have done that in the TL. I am used to letting the car catch up to the tires in the CRX but not the TL...Had a big smile on my face during that one!

As for the IS-F, who knows when that will happen. I have checked to local dealership networks website every Monday for almost a year and only two have turned up...both in silver! One of these days. But hey, if I have to wait until 2013...the 2010 CTS-V wagons will start coming off lease for around 45k...and I will get one of those...in ANY color in a heartbeat!

That exhaust sounds pretty good. Damn, only if there was an exhaust that sounds like the LF-A for TL. I'll definitely jump on it in blink of an eye.

 

^ cannot happen... simply put V6 cannot sound like a V8

 

The LFA's exhaust is probably my favorite sounding exhaust of all time, but truth is - it's too unfitting for the TL.
