Low mileage Mods
Are there any mods that SHOULD NOT be done on a car with less then 1k miles on it?
Should I wait to install: (as an example)
UR pulley
E-Shift Pro cats
AEM CAI
My guess is that the cai doesn't matter but i am not sure on the other 2.

cai - wait till after first oil change
ur pulley - after first oil change
procats - don't do it they have been shown to fail
do the suspension, wheels and tires, let the break in period pass by first

I am not mechanically inclined or a big car mod kinda guy. I will change up the tires when i need new ones.
I dont mess around with suspension or anything that is very complicated.
I might also do a throttle body spacer install along with the cai, thats plenty enough for me.
THANKS for your input. I ordered the door sill inserts already and was going to do the cai but i will wait.
i am a incase anyone couldn't tell. So all comments are welcomed.

Got this from Acura

THIS LINK PROVES WHERE I GOT IT FROM BUT WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU BECUASE YOU NEED TO LOGIN
"Help assure your vehicle's future reliability and performance by paying extra attention to how you drive during the first 600 miles (1,000 kilometers). During this period:
Avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration.
Avoid hard braking.
New brakes need to be broken in by moderate use for the first 200 miles (300 km)."

This is my first post ever, I just picked up an 08 TL Type S its got 1200 miles, (2000k), and I was told that the break in period is a hoax, a few of my buddies who know tons about cars say that as long as the engine's temp warm you should actually push the pedal right off the hop and it helps the car's performance down the long haul. Has anyone else heard this?

rwalters, wait for the 1st oil change. The factory oil has additives to assist in engine break-in. I think SouthernBoy did a nice write up on the why's and wherefore's.
ProCats are questionable - issues with durability as well as the fact that the TL-S has high(er) flow cats anyhow.
Suspension isn't really "complicated" and an RSB with Shocks/Springs or Coil-Overs will give a huge boost to overall handling.
Wheels and tires are a very simple and quick way to improve looks and/or performance. Stock Michelin's suck. But I can understand letting the stockers wear out before throwing $700 or $800 at tires.
Aftermarket exhaust is another quick way to free up some HP.

Its a trick some guys have been doing to "shave" the driver side keyhole... By purchasing a part from one of the other door handles to clip it over the driver side door... Neat mod
