Looking for times and dynos.
Hey. I have a 2007 TL Type-S and I've done a stage 3 exhaust with the resonator now a dynomax and the mid muffler removed. I am looking for hard facts and data on what a CAI, J-pipe, and full exhaust will do to this car power and time wise. I would like to see track times before and after and dyno charts wouldn't hurt either. Anyone who has track times for any bolt on parts (not boosted or NOS) I would like seeing your data. I don't want to spend all the money on an intake or j-pipe if it isn't going to be proven and noticeable power gains. I really would not like the people who are on here just saying that they noticed the power change with a CAI or anything like that. Not that opinions are bad but opinions vary between people and I want something proven. Thanks in advance.
You're not going to get much in the way of hard numbers around here. There are a couple track runs and there were a fair number of dynos in the older days. You'll probably have to search back a bit to find them. 1/4 numbers are all over the board. One guy went 13.9 with only a CAI on a non type S. Some go high 14s with a fair amount of bolt-ons.
To save you some time, if you want performance without nitrous or FI start with exhaust as this will get you the most hp for the money. There's very little bang for the buck overall so don't be disappointed when you spend $3K and pick up 20hp.

Thanks guys. And I'd rather not do a full exhaust because of noise. I also have an S2000 and it has full exhaust and is way too loud to drive comfortably down the highway and I don't want that with this car. And thanks for that one dyno link. I've seen that and like those numbers and from looking at the CT exhaust it is basically what a stage 3 is that I've already done.
