Hondata - I'm sure you cast this all over Facebook. I'll check out the 3G group and if you didn't, I'm going to post a post about, well, this post.

Hope that's ok.

I did a quick up and down the group this morning and didn't see anything. So I made a post and pointed it to here.

Hopefully they can get a car to tinker with.

I'm not really sure what they can offer us beyond what some members have already discovered. Other then a nice set and solid conversion plan...

Yet I'll still be first one of the first in line to buy this, if when it's official. Thus the excitement.

So hold fast.... Is this testing so we can use 04-06 ecu or is this still dependent on an ecu swap?

I sounded like an idiot above. Sigh.

I assume ECU swap because that's what he said. An 07 ECU.

I guess I never had any issues with that in the first place. But I will feel much better about doing it when it's like officially sanctioned by Hondata.

So buy up the 07 ECUs before the demand hits. Lol

Unless Doug has done something magical, 5AT is not possible. Changes in the AT (more solenoids) prohibit it.

And yes, it's an ECU swap. 04-06 do not have the ability to flash via the CAN bus.

Doug said no one ever came forward with a 06 6MT when I was doing mine. That may have changed since then.

There just isnt enough MT's to really justify the R&D. Either crack the 5AT and actually have enough of a market to make it worthwhile. Perhaps this is the first step to achieve that?

Yes but this would also make it much easier for us Accords to get the ECU swap which there could be a larger market for given a reasonable price.
