For me it depends if I am at the track or not. While driving on the street I am not going to heat the tires up so i will slip the clutch out at about 2k-2500 rpms. This will give me a good quick take off with out too much spin if any. At the track i can heat the tires up real well so I can pretty much slip at like 3k but very quickly. its like your trying to keep between the point of bogging and spinning. It works well with sticky tires. This works for me!

agree with blktl1, rev it up between 2 to 2.5k , VSA off and release the clutch...also if you have a CAI you may use your ears instead of looking at the tach to let you know about wher your revs are ...all else is practice...

Regular take off - around 1K rpms.

Fast take-off: VSA off, 2-2.5K rpms.
