I know this is probably off-topic, and I apologize, but hypothetically speaking, how much modification would the 5AT require to push even 500whp at least, somewhat reliably?

beating a vette or str8 whatever in your typical known high hp car is just another day in the park

its possible that it had bigger turbos, and not the vspec or whatever they are called from nissan. because im pretty sure he has that
he has new intake, 110cc injectors, downpipe, dual 340l/h fuel pump, custom intercooler pipes, and runs on e85. also the dyno was done on a low reading mustang dyno. 517whp/523wtq. i think hes running 18psi too

kikazz thanks again for everything. Thanks for your dedication and the persistance to stay focused throughout. Without your contributions, I wouldt be where im at today. Hopefully the gears are going to come sooner than later, and i will see some 10sec passes NA next season.

Do you mean 1100cc injectors? There is no way he is making 500 whp with e85 on anything less than a 750

OP post some logs when you complete the build. I am assuming no one has achieved to put down 550whp in a 3g TL yet. How do you plan on preventing detonation? Obviously you have Jandr standalone which will allow you to advance and retard timing and adjust AFR as needed. But obviously you dont want to have to retard timing too much. Do you have any plans on adding a water/meth injection kit?

Lower compression (I would have gone a full point lower than the OP) and most of the turbo guys have meth injection. Even with safeguards in place I really hope they monitor knock this time around. I can't tell you how many times having an annoying, almost scary loud knock detector has saved my engine even when everything seemed to be working as it should. This is one area the Honda crowd is decades behind on but I think they're coming around.

That sounds about right. The main difference now is that it will probably require methanol injection which is fine but go a point lower and you could run those boost levels on 91 with less than 2% lost power from the lower compression. It will be a little stronger off boost, possibly a little more responsive but ultimate power on pump gas will be compromised. It's personal preference and race gas is always available to push the envelope but my preference is to run 19psi on pump gas and use methanol and 25+psi when you have a tough race.

For the time being I'll be running straight meth. I'm reluctant to go with e85 because of its limited availability where I'm at and I don't want that to prevent/hinder me in anyway from taking it on a road trip. For me, it's a luxury car first and a 'vette killer second.

^^^ I should clarify a little on that... The AEM kit that I have now will not support anything over a 50/50 mix of meth, so I'm currently looking at switching over to a Snow or Alky injection system in order to be able to handle the higher levels of meth.

I don't know what it is with GTRs(japanese engineering AWD) but they are downright FAST for being ~4000lbs and the power they have and even with AWD their FAST at higher speeds too..

A little past midnight on the east coast and the car is off the dyno. From the quick conversation that i had with Rodney most everything went well, and they achieved some great numbers. I am just posting up to show the dedication Rodney has for his passion. I dont think he will let an obsticle stand in his way. I dont think he ever sleeps.

I am just ecstatic right now; i dont really know how to explain all this; it took about 5 hours to tune the car and the end result: Fucking unbelievable; the car is putting down 560 to the wheels and 500lbs of torque.that is on the dyno but when we took it out on the street it was a completely different story. The car felt even faster than that: Second gear it spun tires just a little bit but third and fourth gear the car just literally took off the ground and by the time i was ready to shift into fifth i was already doing 140 miles per hour. It is breathtakingly fast; there is no turbo lag whatsoever the car picks up boost already at 2100 rpm and there is no tire spin in third and fourth gears at all meaning this clutch puts down everything to the ground all of it all 560 hp.
Rodney is truly a king; true master. Whatever he did with this car simply defies all logic and the rules of gravity. We will try to post the vids as soon as possible

how much boost are you running?
edit: a 560whp DD on pump gas is incredible.
