The drop in filter is pretty straightforward, and no, it doesn't void your warranty.
If you're refering to the short ram or full CAI, the install is a little more involved and I think it, technically, does void the warranty, but I could be wrong.

I've read posts where people install the short ram and swap it out for the OEM just before they bring the car in for service. This would be easier to swap than the full CAI as it involves removing the front bumper or wheel well shroud.

Good luck!

I dont know much, so what are the benefits of the K&N and AEM drop in filter? Is it just easier maintenance, or are there performance/engine sound benefits?
