K&N Cold air intake

So I've seen many posts of AEM CAI's and Fujita as well on here but haven't really seen any for K&N. I was talking to this guy from Midas and he said the best is definitely K&N and i would notice about a 10-15HP gain not to mention better gas mileage. Found it here the cheapest-$233.95

Any body try this out?

On their website it says 6.8HP gain, but anyway it looks like a short ram intake, K&N definitely has good quality products, so you know it'll be pretty good. I think I might get this instead, I'm not a big fan of the other CAIs because I don't want to remove the front bumper to install them.

You don't need to remove the front bumper to install a full size CAI. I followed the AEM install FAQ in the Garage and it was quick and dirty.

Just read up on the differences of short ram vs. standard and usually just comes down to a preference on make. AEM seems to be the most popular and I think the fit & finish was worth it.

Dude, as far as which is the best, they can't be super creative with a cone filter and metal tube.

The part shown on that website is to make it into a full CAI. Click on the lower picture to see what you are suppose to receive if purchased. K&N's Typhoon intake system allows you to convert to a short ram when you want to. I don't think you need to remove your bumper to install it, you might be able to get away with just removing the driver side tire and wheel well. I was able to access the filter and the lower mounting bolt without removing the bumper.

Best bet is go to the dealership you purchased your car and ask directly. Acura of Riverside, CA dealership has AEM CAI's, comptech springs and sway bars, and other performance mods in the parts department for purchase. Of course if you drove through a lake then you may have some warranty issues but in the end it is up to the dealership to honor or deny you warranty coverage.
