K&N CAI Problem

Hello everybody. New Acura owner and Acurazine member here. I have a 2008 TL 3.2 and I installed a K&N CAI (Typhoon 69-0021) on it this afternoon. Everything seems to be ok except I cannot get the crank case vent hard line (I believe that's what it's called) to fit all the way into the K&N intake tube. I have tried everything that I know of and the hard line just seems to be too short for this new tube. It is in there somewhat, but realistically it could be pushed in another 3/4 of an inch or so more. Has anybody had this problem? Am I doing something wrong or did K&N just drop the ball on this one?

If I can post this photo correctly, you can see the rubber grommet sticking out of the side of the intake tube. That's as far in as I can get it. I believe the actual hard line goes about halfway into that inlet which makes me worried.

Thanks in advance! Thomas

And I just now realized I should have put this in the problems/fixes forum. I'm not sure how to move it. My bad.

Theres a bolt w/ a rubber O-ring that you place there. It looks like what you did was place the rubber washer for the bracket mount into the vent.
