Just installed weapon-r short ram..question!
Hey guys I installed the weapon-r dragon short ram intake today and i love the sound and power gains off the line. The only thing that worries me is that when u put your hand on the filter and rev the engine u dont feel as hard of a sucking as you do with an injen filter or a KandN cone filter. I was wondering if it would be better to swap the dragon filter with either a KandN, Injen, AEM, or?? Which would you guys suggest and why :/...? Thanks guys!
is it louder?... i think that if i just get a new filter, itll be the same. I am just debating between KandN and Injen or AEM? :/ Plus! i got the intake for 60 bucks shipped so it was a steal.
Not to my testing...i drove for about 20 miles, opened up the hood and the pipe from the short ram was still cool, not warm at all. The reason why the short ram on the TL's is nice is because the engine is off centered slightly left of the engine bay and the intake extends out toward the right giving a lot of room for heat dissipation through the engine bay. The only thing that i dislike about the dragon filter is that when my friend revs the engine and my hand was on the intake i didnt feel as much of a sucking force as i did on my friends injen short ram, so i want to change the filter. I also think that filter will give it a louder sound as well as increasing the air flow. I will post pictures if you guys like. But im still wondering about which filter to buy, lol.
Oh and I didnt want a cold air because im still afraid of the "flooding" of the engine.

They have two different type of filtration devices right?
I thought the weapon R ones used like that mess stuff..kinda like what's on Turbo air filters and HKS..the kind you can just wash in your sink in a few minutes. You just end up cleaning it more than a regular filter. and the InJen and K&N use the paper ones right with the ripple/ wave.
