Just installed my Weapon R - Secret Weapon Intake
Hi all ... I just wanted to say how useful the members of the forum were in helping me choose my intake and helping me install it. I took it for a 10 mile drive (after warming it up) and enjoyed a perceived improvement in throttle response and a nice sound to accompany it.
I'm reasonably handy but don't have much experience doing "mechanical" type things on my cars. This video was extremely useful (so thank you sandiegodrive):

Here's a picture (which will be followed by a couple questions):

There are two tubes that run side by side. The tubing I have looks too large to replace the smaller tube. I replaced the vacuum tube (I believe that's what the tube is called that goes from the intake to the engine) with a tube provided by weapon R (the gray one). Picture here:

The question I have is ... the tubing I replaced was some kind of PVC and very stiff in the middle (but the ends were connected via rubber tubing). I have replaced that with a much more flexible (but still strong) rubber tubing all the way through. Have I done something wrong?
Also, if that rubber tube is an adequate replacement for the old tube, how have you all removed that piece from your cars? There's another tube tied to the vacuum tube and I'm not sure how I would go about removing it (the vacuum tube). In the video I watched sandiegodrive received two tubes to replace both pieces. I should also note that it was extremely difficult to move both tubes to insert my intake, which is why I wasn't able to make use of the factory tubing.
Thanks in advance everyone
