flick0069 drives a 3g tl... how do I know (click view user profile... threads started... and read)

if the dyno-man ( <-dynomite pun ) said your car was running rich... than that is what the jet performance chip did because the tl runs lean with just an intake

Correct 3G TL. The car was done as a show car. Came with the reflash, AEM, lowered suspension and 19" wheels. They also had a Ron Jon boby kit on, but they wanted too much money for it. They used it as a pace car for some local CASCAR race (cheaper version of NASCAR in Canada) and for promotional events. The dealer had done a few of these cars in the past.

I'm going to install the Greddy Exhaust and the J-pipe (already added the UR Pulley). Curious to see how it runs after those have been installed. Will dyno it after mods are done.

They are only open Monday through Friday, hence the problem. Its a 90 minute drive for me without southern Cali rush hour traffic.......add that and it turns in to 2 1/2hrs easy

Why not buy a fuel and ignition controller of some sort and have a real "dyno guy" tune your car the right way? It costs alot more but will actually work without question. No two cars are the same. Especially on this site!

Guess just more information than what they gave me on the phone. I was actually gonna try to get them registered and subscribe to the thread to answer questions.

If this is legit then its a good price for what you get, and they can modify based on your specific mods.......for someone that has a recent dyno that is will to do this we can settle up.

Ok, I was up in Orange for work today and swung by Jet on my way home. I talked to the guy and he is going to get the tech to get on the boards and answer questions. He also said that they would be against a group buy if there was enough interest. He said he just did a TL and TSX a few months ago for locals...............who are you guys?

I thought a Jet rep was going to come on here and do a Q&A of sorts? I'd like a little more info as to exactly what parameters are controlled by the re-flash. As soon as I get a J-pipe and cat-back on, I'm down for this if I get some more promising info.

I asked him to and he said he would, I even emailed him the link to this thread. If there customer service is this bad maybe I don't want their product

Hey everyone,
I spoke with a service tech on the phone from Jet... I asked him a series of questions and this is what I understood.

Q1 Can you increase the point of Rev limitation? A. No
Q2 Can you adjust shift points? A. No
Q3 Can the Vtech point be changed? A. No
Q4 What can be adjusted? A. Air Fuel Only
Q5 Will this increase fuel economy? A. In some cases Maybe
Q6 Will I feel a difference? A. "Remeber this in not a V8 so its not like you a going to feel a huge increase"
Q7 So how does this work ? I order pay for the kit online, you send me a package and I return my ECU to you, you rechip it and you send it back according to my Mods? A. Yes

At this point I am not sure this is worth the cost... If I understood correctly its only messing with A/F... I hope to see a Jet rep post the available ECU reflash options on the forum. Otherwise I am passing on this upgrade....

I don't understand how they can adjust the A/F ratio without actually knowing what is modded on the car first and then figuring the proper ratio throughout the RPM band...

Looks like I'm staying FAR away from Jet. Read this link from clublexus and check the links within the thread: seems Jet has a penchant for just slapping their sticker on some ECU's and shipping them back untouched.
