Hi guys, here are some bootom lines on a 3.5L buildup.
First the tought of "just dropping in" a J35A8 block is dead from the word go. The J35 uses a different tranny and bellhousing bolt patteren, so it would not bolt up to the existing tranny, this is why I use the J32A3 (04-06 TL) block, it is compatible with both my AV6 and your TL trannys and gives us the J35/J32 89mm bore. Esentially the "internals" difference between the J32 and J35 is the 86MM vs 93MM stroke. Here is a quick breakdown.
Model-Bore-Stroke
J30= 86MM X 86MM
J32= 89MM X 86MM
J33= 86MM X 93MM Custom Frankenstien
J35= 89MM X 93MM
J37= 90MM X 96MM
J42= 96MM X 96MM In design...
Engine block interchange.
J30A1,J32A1,J32A2 = same bell housing pattern.
J35A3,J35A4,J35A5 = same bellhousing pattern.
J30A4,J30A5,J32A3 = same bell housing pattern.
J37 = New pattern
J35A8 = unkown as of yet, but seariously doubt compatable with J32A3.
The engine in my AV6 automatic is built from a J32A3 core (block/heads/intake) with 04MDX/06Pilot crank and 04MDX/07Ridgeline Rods, both of these are forged, 03CL-S pistons (not sure if forged, have gotten conflicting info), with Total Seal rings. This netted a 10.5:1 compression and on my untunned (EManage not installed yet), running on Stock ECU only with Stock FP and only a AEMv1 CAI I laid down only 232 dynojet adjusted WHP and 321 dynojet adjust WTQ, I am sure this will even out and come up aonce I get the EMU in and tuned.

i support your build but you need to find a better dyno...that dyno is way off..i mean look at the slope of you hp graph...unless you spray and a are pushing about 20psi there is no way a NA motor is gonna gain power at that rate..i mean its almost straight up..

Actually they way I understand it , it is because I am running a automatic so they can't even start recording until about 4K RPM, I got the same looking result on my baseline but the numbers came out on par for a stock car. A also know that I can not hold off the line traction without TCS, if I turn TCS off I am spinning wheels off the line. And I have 3 long black stripes off my side road to prove it, LOL.

hell yeah..well i had a 2nd gen TL that had 240 whp and about 206 tq and if you stalled it from a dead stop and launched it would go straight to rev limiter blowing the tires off...with that kinda torque you would leave marks in 2nd gear...

you will.
So wtf is an ulua?
They are apex reef predators competing
with shark, barricudas and man
I suppose, for the bounties of the coasts.
The ones around here are all in the
Trevally family, on the east coast I think
they're called Jack Crevalle.
So anyway I spent many years chasing
these beautiful, brutally strong fish
down many coasts using an ultralite
6 pound test setup and artificial baits.
Not lately, it's too painful to ride the bus
to go fishing. There still might be some
around at Sept.'s end. They tend to go to
deeper water at the end of summer.
This is not me. It's fine exaple of a white
ulua I found online. I have a good of me
somewhere...
This looks a lot like Kiribati (Christmas Island)

sandwiches... God they are
beautiful when you're bringing

I have a 2006 Acura RL. It's completely stock. I am going to get a Cosmo racing short ram cold air intake and a throttle spacer to put on at the same time. Does anyone have any recommendations to add some more horsepower?
