J35 swap

Hey guys I'm looking at swapping out my j32 for a j35. I currently have a greddy evo 2 and aem intake on my car. Are these going bolt up to the j35 or am i going to have to mod the exhaust and get a new intake? Thanks for info.

Not worth it the increase in power is 28 HP, but yes all your parts will fit.

Might as well rebuild the engine with some p&p runners and the heads.

Right now my car has about 68000 miles on it and the engine I'm getting is out of a type s and only has 4000 miles. I love my 3rd gen and don't plan on trading it in anytime soon, definately not after seeing the new 4th gen . Thanks for the info.

doesnt the type s run a different ECU? with changed mapping?.... is it just as simple as sliding a 3.5 in the bay where 3.2 sat, and expecting it to run exactly the same, with a 3.2 mapping? Changes had to be made for the increase in .3 litters, increase in cam profiles, such as longer duration on the intake valves..... wouldnt u need a type s ECU? there was changes in the ECU harness as well...

not to say that it wouldn't run with a 3.2 ECU... but will it actually make that additional power its supposed to?

dont let this get to u...just things to consider..
im just another guy outta the bunch

He better get the trans while he is at it too if he wants to do the 3.5 type S motor as they have a different bell pattern and the trans from a 3.2 wont bolt to the 3.5 block.
