j35 j32 clutch, flywheel, transmission differences.

i have been doing research on about 5 different sites, and googleing and searching on here, but i cant seem to find any solid answers.

What i have gathered so far.
My 06 6mt trans will bolt on to a j35 engine.
the tl type s flywheel and clutch disk have different part numbers from the base.
The clutch disk might be interechangable, (part numbers are close, just a different car code number)
The flywheel part numbers are no where near the same, so im guessing thats where the major difference lies.

I know when people build motors with the 3.5 crank using RL pistons, and whatever rods they use they use the 3.2 block, and make good power, what clutch and flywheel do they bolt to the 3.5 crank?

What is the difference in the 32 and 35 flywheel?

Can i use a Clutchmasters j32 clutch kit with my new j35 motor?

thanks for any input.

Rich

depends on what you do..

if u use the 3.5 crank from an oddy i would use the 3.2 FW.

now if u use the 3.5 crank from the type-s then u definitely need the 3.5 fw

now the question is why not just drop a type-s engine and tranny if ur going to do the latter?

my suggestion-

use the oddy crank, rl pistons and type-s heads

and keep ur current fw, pp, cd

Thanks for the help, but im still a bit confused. I just did a search, and the Oddy crank, and TL type S crank have the same part number. So that would tell me that the 3.2 fw should bolt to the type s crankshaft if others have used it with the oddy crankshaft. I was thinkging the only difference might be the ring gear for the starter.

the 3.5 crank is shorter than the 3.2 crank on the FW side that is probably why the flywheel part #'s are different as well. When i did my 3.5 conversion i got a custom flywheel made from CM.
