What could I expect whp/tq wise on a base TL 6MT with the J and test pipes? My exhaust is stock except for Stage 3 mod.

I've got an AEM intake, P2R spacer and UR pulley now, so I would guess I'm in the 230-235 range. If this would get me another 7 or 8 I'd be happy.

What is this ground-voltage kit that you speak of and what does it do?

Ummm I bought the same pipe. I am very pleased with it and according to the time slips the car dropped from 14.75 to 14.5 in the 1/4. But saying that it sounds like a 400 hp car is a huge exaggeration. In fact, I dont notice any change in sound and the car does not feel any different.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but I had a question about this statement.

Since the Jshift test pipe is resonated, how is it "obviously different"? I got my J/test pipe installed and didn't notice much (in terms of exhaust note).

I know. I don't hear any difference between the 3rd cat and the Jshift resonated test pipe. I FEEL a difference...

With the stock exhaust, the tone is not necessarily noticeably different. With an aftermarket exhaust it is very noticeable; much more deep and aggressive.

I'm a new member but not a new face. I'm a member at , 6thgenaccord, Honda-Tech, Gen7Accord.net, and more. I have an 06 Accord V6 6 Speed coupe. Mods in sig. I am very pleased with the j-pipe/test pipe.

Whats up man. I ended up buying the Fujita CAI LOL, go figure. Pleased with that too.

TL and Accord are so similar I figured I could get/share some ideas here too.

Ok i'm very confused and hear about test pipes and race pipes all day on this forum.

I know what the j-pipe replaces, but are there any threads that explain what the test and race pipes replace? (with pics maybe?)

Sorry for sounding like a total noob but catback is on it's way and I might as well do whatever else I can for exhaust.

^ 3rd cat delete = test/race pipe

Basicallly, you are removing the 3rd cat and replacing it with a straight run of pipe.

IIRC, Megan/ATLP are straight pipe and Jshift is resonated.

I'd like to see a comparison between the 2 j-pipes. (jshift vs atlp)

I think this pipe looks nice but the one bend seems to run almost horizontal to the the pipe leading to the flex-pipe. Just doesn't seem like an optimal bend.

Anyone have both?

How much is the J-shift? I'm leaning towards the ATLP because it looks like a better design...

Ask stillhere. I'm pretty sure he dyno'd both and got very similar results.

They just ended up a GB for the Jshift j pipe and test pipe for $360 shipped I think.

Plus, Jshift = 100% 304 SS, ATLP = 403 SS with mild steel flanges.
