J-Shift pipe installed! pics/video

Got my J-pipe in today so I took the 45 mins to install...really easy and i was very impressed with the quality of the piping/bends/welds and it came with all gaskets..the etching in the pipe was very clean looking also..great product!
I have the test pipe option also..definatly reccomend!

Took a drive and noticed the exhaust change but really noticed the difference in power...it takes less throttle to accelerate and at WOT there is a definate power increase...i also noticed the car revs much faster almost like a flywheel or pulley result...very please thus far...i will dyno sometime this week

heres some pics

no mas! -stock cat

stock j-pipe

heres an interior WOT video..i will try to get one outside also..this is with greddy evo2/injen intake

Different design and flow characteristics. The ATLP also comes in brilliant non-polished, lol.

If this mod gets your WHP into the 260's like it should, I think mid 13's are possible with drag radials. Run an IS 350 and then post it on the Lexus forums.

i believe i will be over 265 with this..im putting the pulley on this week also so i figure an increase taht doesnt show up on a dyno will help...i think with DRs i will be a 13.4/13.5 at least...im getting the supercharger in the next few months and with that and my driving i figured a 12.9 is a goal within sight...ive ran my friends is350 on several occasions and from any roll faster that 1st gear ive had no problem beating him...i need to get it on video but i havent had anyone in the car while doing so...

Yeah, those 350's just hook and go from a dig. They're geared really deeply, so they shine down low but start to fall off at higher speeds. What's your technique for launching your car?? I've tried a couple times with VSA off and it was pretty frustrating with all the spinning and wheel hop. Bridgestone Turanzas are not helping either, especially since they're around 70% worn.

i launch around 2500-3000 rpms and feather the gas...you gotta stop the wheel spin before the car gets way to overrevved for your speed...last time i went, i ran three 13.9s and two 14.0s @102 and i only ran 5 times...talk about consistent

So do you get right off the clutch altogether or slip it some?

And that 102 trap speed is damn impressive. That was with just intake and spacer? Your engine must've been built on a Wednesday afternoon!

i believe it was $349 for J-pipe
and $399 for j-pipe + test pipe

it makes about 5 whp and 7 lb-ft torque

the ATLP j-pipe is $399 (i think is the full price?)
and makes about 7 whp and 14 lb-ft torque

the pricing is right..the 5 whp was on an accord...the 3rd Gen TL should produce 7-10whp and 10-15 lb-ft torque...i will probably be the first 3rd gen TL to dyno with the J-shift pipe..i will let you guys know..both products seem quality but i gotta give the j-shift points for using polished stainless steel...i have had zero problems with fitment or performance...the welds look like good quality not comptech status but not DC status...great bang for the buc $350 shipped..

if the base TL produces 7 whp with the J-pipe, then the TLS would produce a bit more, correct?

the same if not less...the TLS has free flowing cats as it is, the TLS wouldnt have all the power made from the test pipe...i would say around the same even without the test pipe

ya I meant without the test pipe...like you said it already has free flowing cats...i still think it would produce a bit more hp...i think blackura is gonna do a dyno after he installs his j-pipe so we'll find out then...yours looks top notch types-09; let me ask, did u achieve the 254whp with just ur intake on or did u have all ur other mods on?
