I really hope what you're saying about letting the carbon buildup and resetting the ECU is correct, because knowing my luck when I check under my car for the wiring everything will look just fine and I won't be able to find out why I have the P0157 code..
How long does it take the code to come up? The P0157 usually means a bad connection or damaged sensor. I would check the male end of the connector and make sure all the pins are level and straight. I've gotten that code when I pushed one of the male pins out of the housing.

Thanks for the help. I had time today to check it out and it turns out bank 2 sensor 2 was loose. Not the connector for the sensor, but the actual o2 sensor itself that screws into the pcd defouler. Somehow it managed to unscrew itself and was just sitting on the threads.

After tightening it up and driving for about 5-10 minutes my CEL turned off.

I drove a little over 100 miles with the CEL and P0157 code on and my gas mileage didn't suffer at all. Just for whoever is wondering

Thanks kingkong. I assumed bank 2 was under the strut bar but now I know bank 2 is actually in front near the radiator.

Yeah the PCDs are really good, I really enjoy them. I got both the V3 PCD + J-Pipe for $600 so I think I got a decent deal.

On a scale 1-10 I would give PCDs a 7. Yes it is more power, but don't expect to get a feeling of adrenaline like a turbo or a supercharger. The car feels more torque-y 3,000-4,000RPMs.

Sound on cold start up (I leave the house at 6AM every morning) is not really loud, but you can definitely tell it doesn't sound like a "stock" car. Once the o2 sensor warms up and the ECU runs on closed loop (about 20-30 seconds after starting) it immediately quiets down and sounds like how it did when I had my OEM pre cats and OEM j-pipe.

This is how it sounds while sitting in the drivers seat though.

When standing outside the car near the rear bumper, at idle the car sounds really nice. Kind of like a low tone growl / rumble. It's not something you can hear while you are inside the car though, but from the outside you can hear it.

As for highway driving... I usually cruise control between 65MPH-75MPH depending on traffic. It sounds stock... I notice 0 difference in noise while inside the car just simply cruising.

And the smell.... If you have your windows slightly or all the way5 rolled down you might be able to smell it from the inside of the car while stopped at a stop sign or a red light. When the car is idling and you are outside the car near the rear bumper you can definitely smell it without a doubt.

I am pleased with my v3 PCD + J-Pipe combo, I just wish my car was a 6-speed, or a 6spd type-s. I'm sure those guys notice a good difference with bolt on mods compared to base 5AT guys like me.

Oh well....

Clearance on them is stock. The reason why they are scraped up is because this was the previous owner and his daily driver ride height.
