Nice. Robotic tig quality welds and mandrel bent. the flanges look kinda cheap though.

thats just the prototype they used cheaper flanges and metal. the final one is full stainless.

How is the test pipe look like?

 

wait a sec, the j pipe takes the place of the cat?

 

I was thinking about this mod and I started to wonder. When I did the "stage 3" mod, my car developed a slight drone in 5th gear at 40-60 mph. If the J pipe also alleviates circulation for a free-er flowing exhaust.. wouldn't this make the 5th gear drone more prevalent? I'm really curious what kind of drone the exhaust will make with the J pipe.

 

no pictures of that yet, looks just like a cat the only difference it is a resonator. ill try to get you a picture next few days.

 

not sure the only way to really know is the install one and test. since you are local i might have one you can try.

 

the j-pipe is to the left of the 3rd cat. you can replace the 3rd cat with a resonator test pipe as a option.

 

with the procats...which would yield a better gain...with the test pipe or with out the test pipe...i sent the deposit...and will send the rest once i get some feedback on this..

 

it would try without the test pipe first, to see how it feels, you can always get it later.

Yeah, I remember I sent you a PM a while back in regards to if you wanted to provide a J-pipe for a dyno run as well (dyno costs will be paid for), BUT I never received a reply, although I see your quiet active. I'm still curious.

 

I remember getting that message, I was deciding if I wanted to go through with it or not and I guess I just forgot. Maybe when my J-Pipes are here we can trade and do some testing.
