J-pipe & Exhaust Weights

Just weighed:

xlr8 V2 J-pipe = 11.8lbs
xlr8 quad exhaust w/res = 51.6lbs (w/o hardware)

Weighed on my awesome bathroom scale.

Didn't have a chance to weight my stock type s j-pipe and exhaust or the rv6 ones though. Anyone have weights for these to contribute to this thread?

Got more weights from another member thank you!

RV6 V3 J-pipe: 13.8lbs

OEM J-pipe (w/3rd cat): 20.4lbs (I think this came from an accord, not sure if same as TL)

I checked his list. I only saw a weight for a stock base model exhaust, which when added to the mid muffler delete he did, totaled 52.1lbs. His photos show a 3rd cat but he says it's without it, so could be an empty shell, I don't know.

Either way, I didn't see weights for all j pipes or exhausts, including a type s stock exhaust, which will be a pound or two heavier. If you know what page he has this info, please share.

He does have a 4.5lb weight savings on an xlr8 j-pipe over stock, so assuming it's a v2, we get a total of 16.3lbs for the stock j-pipe. I'd assume this is without the 3rd cat.

I actually brought home a shipping scale from work to weigh my aftermarket wheels.
since, my car isnt a daily driver i could take parts off if you wanted me too.
I have a base TL.
is there something that you want a definite weight for?

Thx but I don't want to make you take parts off just to weigh them.

I was just interested in the weights of the xlr8 and rv6 j-pipes and exhausts in comparison with the type s stock units. I know the j-pipes are lighter, in part thanks to the deletion of the 3rd cat. Curious about the exhausts, esp rv6's dual setup. Sadly I didn't have a chance to weigh it before installing it. I was surprised to see xlr8's exhaust weigh about the same as a stock base one, and the type s can't weigh that much more, it's only dual tips, everything else is the same. Inside the mufflers might be different too, but from there on back they are the same.

Sweet!

The exhaust isn't too bad compared to the j-pipes. Much appreciated

If you also take the manual out of the glove box you might break into the 9s
