Well, first of all, welcome!

Why would you smell like gas? Are you running catless?

I think the majority of people install the CAI first... I'm not saying its the "right" order because there really isn't one IMO.

I vote AEM V2.

Personally I would do the V2 first; intake is always a great first mod.

Go on the blackmarket and you may be able to pick up both a v2 and jpipe for what you would pay almost brand new for a j pipe

well thanks for the welcome I thought I started on of those new member threads but I'm still debating either v2 or jpipe looking to get the most hp power gains for a first mod an to sound not so quiet lol an also I thought a high flow cat is just like a test pipe with a 02 sensor dummy

We all know intake is just a noise maker. Nonetheless I would do both, but if I had to chose it would be the J Pipe hands down. J Pipe is like an instant 10-15 HP gain and torque to go with it. And this is proven and documented. Can't say the same for the intake.

yea i do agree with the j pipe giving more power down which is proven and if anyone has a link with how it sounds with just the j pipe with a test pipe or high flow cat and everything else stock i would like to hear a quick clips thanks Most of the sound clipse are with both v2 and j pipe

My vote is for Jpipe. You're going to notice a significant performance increase, and you won't really notice much with an intake.

^Same here.

I would go to J-pipe first. I'm doing J-Pipe first just because I decided not to get an intake. It "frees" up HP slightly which is slightly proven and gives a better sound, but since I live in Texas, I don't want to take a risk for hydrolocking my engine since it rains a lot in summer and throughout the year.

the 3rd cat doesnt have an 02 sensor. hi flow cat cleans the air and flows better than stock, the test pipe doesnt clean the air and is resonated , the last one is the race pipe and that is just a straight tube.

I'm with you. I'm in South Jersey, which receives significant rainfall at times. My biggest concern is I sometimes work on one of the local Islands that floods very easily. Although it hasn't been much of a problem in the past, I still worry about getting on or off the island when It's work related.

I'm really not sure I fully understand why we're installing intakes on our car to begin with? Seriously, does it even give us any noticible gains?

Go with the J-pipe!

v2...only because the engine sound is sexier than the exhuast sound with the j-pipe

Yeah I was being modest with those number but if you search I think its more like 20HP and 15 in torque. Many who have installed it noticed gains right away and its not that psychological gains you notice with the intake. Its real deal.
