J-pipe??

I know im not helping with your specific question, but I have had the RV6 V3 pipe on two different Type S's I have owned an auto and a 6mt. I did not notice any performance gains with either. After removal on both cars I swear my car GAINED low end power back. Felt great with the stock pipe back on.
Most people say the jpipes help with high end power which may be true, but I didnt notice it, and dont drive my car at WOT enough for it to be beneficial. Low end power is something that you experience everyday and during normal driving. Take this information for whats its worth, but for me that $400+ can be spent elsewhere.
Besides all that, the quality of the RV6 V3 pipe was excellent and fitment was perfect. Easy install and removal as well.
Ok everyone go ahead and flame me :-D

Well atleast im not one of those people that say they slapped on a Jpipe and their car felt it gained 100hp. In my case it gained back 50 when I went back to stock
And I do consider my butt dyno to be very sensitive haha. Remember, I actually sold one of my Type S's because I felt a very slight surge during acceleration that I could not fix. Then bought another one of the exact cars that didnt surge, problem solved LOL.

Op my suggestion is purchase the one that you like. Both will give out the same results. but like justn said the latest and greatest would be better.
Why is it so difficult for people to decide what they want? There are some many threads posted on this forum were people cant seem to figure out what is best for them.

I'm confident there are more THREADS about J-Pipes than there are people with aftermarket ones installed. Speaking of them, mine showed up today along with the TBS and PCDs.

IMO the XLR8 V2 j-pipe (and I'm not biased at all).

^I was lucky enough to pick up another RV6 V3 Jpipe for my second TL during your last sale. Speaking from experience only with Richies Jpipe.....I did not hesitate to make this my first performance mod on this new TL.

On the off chance my car gets stolen or I bought another TL I would probably buy that pipe again as a first or second mod.
