Intake install

I installed my Fujitsu intake about 4 years ago and remembered that I never did the step to reroute the rubber tubing at the end of the install. I now cannot find the install manual or instructions anywhere online, if anyone knows what im talking about is it really necessary? its the tubing that is around the throttle body. I sometimes hear a hissing sound coming from the engine during acceleration and thought that this is what it would be coming from. Thanks

There's a hose that goes between the intake tube and the intake manifold, I'm guessing it's for PCV. On some engines you can leave it open. The stock hose is on the same bracket as the coolant lines running to to the TB. You can delete the whole thing by bypassing the coolant from the TB, just use one of the coolant lines going to both outputs on the engine, pull the bracket, and use the hose that came with your CAI to go between the rear of the intake manifold and the intake tubing. I'm guessing this is the line you're talking about but could you post a pic?

Cut it off and you should still have plenty of length to bypass loop it.

I just pulled after sliding the spring clamps back. I kept the shorter one on the car, you could probably trim it if you wanted but it's not really an eyesore or anything. It doesn't add any power but I did notice a big difference in throttle response.
