scratches his head... when I did those mods I wished for this "feeling"... all the mods after the procats aren't "feel"able

glad you loving it...

I got similar mods with the exception of the exhaust. My butt dyno was very impressive! I even got a chance to run with a 07 type-s on the highway (by chance), and pulled on him. Wasn't too impressed with the dyno though (see post below), but very satisified with the performance!

got the pulley installed today, dunno if it was just in my mind, but after the install it seems that the freed up power to the wheels made it easier for me to drive in the snow....but that could just be a mental thing...

it's like 21 degrees outside, for some absurd reason i thought i could run out and install the p2r really fast....and hour and half later, didnt get it on and my hands are frostbitten and frozen lol...i guess i'll just try it some other time... the biggest mistake was taking the CAI off, the rubber that goes to the throttle, basicalyl froze and it took me forever, i probably had blood as lubricant to get it back on...

This is a good time to reset the ECU and let it learn the new capabilities

well we still have yet figure out the real gains from swapping pulleys right?

though i think regardless, "UA7" should be getting spoiled with these mods regardless

something i also noticed on the 3.2 J32's....is it just me, or is this true:

pre-pulley, we'd get the lag on lower RPM, but it'd shoot up once VTEC engaged?

post-pulley, okay, so i noticed more power on lower torque band, but has anyone noticed the lag is delayed around 4-5k rpm's?

i'm thinking - the ECU hasn't adjusted to the smaller pulley, or all the pulley has done is delay the "lag" to a higher area of our torque band.

also, has anyone noticed but on idle, i'm resting a bit over 1k rpm, it used to sit a bit under 1k rpm.

^^ i never had a problem with idling on the UA6 or UA7... on my UA6 though, i dont think my pulley was torqued right, and i got alot of shift knob vibrations under WOT... the pulley on my Type S was torqued perfectly (181lb/ft) and it made the engine... hmm... "peppier and zippier"... i feel less resistance and lag... power band seems altered equally, no change in specfic RPM capabilites.. just an overall boost of power... very hard to explain

yea...i'm hoping it's just the ECU trying to get used to the new pulley

get the p2r spacer and get on that dyno tomorrow!! or monday, whenever that westchester thing is.

oh yea and if you're really anal about your paint match up, check out Yonke collision, they did a great paintjob for me back in the day.

oh yea, so you gonna keep the front lip?

I know where I can pick up a CAI, however, the TB spacer and the pulleys allude me.

Could anyone post links to each of the latter?

Much obliged.

honestly, excelerate is the best bet. he's an official vendor here for us AZ-ers

i can personally vouch for him, though you may be able to find prices lower than his on SOME things...excelerate is a guarantee that the part you are getting is 100% legit.

i've gotten
rotors and pads
CAI
p2r thermobody spacers and gaskets
UR pulley

all from him, and always very prompt on shipping and everything is always packaged nicely and safely - so long as you're prompt on your end - payment

by the end of the month i'll probably be picking up the Progress RSB from him as well.

this isn't a turbo charged vehicle nor a race car., why do so many try to get a luxury vehicle dynoed and fast. Just sit back and relax.
