We also suspect that there might be some broken metal and scrap metal parts that were in the rebuilt torque converter which might cause the problem in the tranny. We already sent the Torque converter out to get it checked to make sure it's okay and not problem.

that was part of my issue. the torque converter caused metal to flow through the system, creating damage to the rest of the transmission. hopefully this isnt the case for you. though 1400 for a used tranny is probably better, because it would cost close to that much just to open it up and diagnose the problem. and even more if special parts are needed.

Any new updates on this project? Ever get the transmission issues fixed? I, for one, am still very curious about the performance of the car after the engine swap.

Yes, a used tranny is on its way and will be here in the middle of next week. Then we will put it on the car asap. Hopfully it will be up and running next week!

As if I don't have enough bad lucks already, they just seem to keep coming.

I ordered my tranny on Jan 18th and it was supposed to be delievered last week. By the end of last week the tranny still haven't showed up so I gave them a call yesterday. As it turns out, they had some "mix up" and the tranny was being shipped out yesterday!!!

I wonder if I never called, my tranny might never be shipped. This is rediculous.

Anyways, they said the tranny was being shipped yesterday. I am going to give them a call again today to make sure they actually shipped it out and get a tracking number. Hopfully things will start to go smooth after this.
