Installed CT exhaust + my review

i just finished my Comptech exhaust install over the past weekend. its finally broken in and i absolutely love it. its so quiet outside but the exhaust note screams when you get on it (judging from inside the car). i only feel a slight difference in power according to my butt dyno. my gf hates it and says it sounds like im dragging something. i already told her to get used to it because it's not coming off, and what do you know, she got used to it and now loves the way it sounds. this is definitely a worthwhile mod to me. at first i wasn't going to get it, but i came upon an incredible deal for $500. a buddy of mine had it but never installed it. he replaced his TL with an RL. i got really lucky on this deal. yay for me, im just excited about it.

I feel the same as you. I enjoy the sound. For $500, that's a hell of a deal. At first I wasn't too sure about the round tips but I like them now.

It did sound a bit louder at the begining but I got used to it and it sounds sporty now. It's very tamed when stepping on the gas light, but the combination of my procats, CAI and the exhuast makes it sound sweet when I floor it!

I love my Comptech Exhaust too on my NBP 2005 TL full A-SPEC 6spd with Navi, Comptech short shifter, Fujita Cold Air Intake and today's purchase of Yokohama Advan Sport 255/40/18 tires. I have had several people ask if I have a turbo on this car because of the sound.

Yeah I agree too and it's not that attractive also, the stock exhaust is attractive and you get more out of a CAI than the Comptech exhaust. Waiting for Greddy or HKS to fabricate and exhaust.

Comptechs are great but a lil pricey. Back in the day i did 2 stainless steel magnaflows, a 12 inch magnaflow resonator, and 2.5 inch cat back piping. It sounded great and cost me about 300 installed.

and this is something I dont understand. Did you make you exhaust yourself because peoples custom app prices are sometime now where near the same. you paid $300 for you parts and install total?

and $500!!! for a CT...
