Improve Brake System

Guys

I want to improve my brake system...

I have regular brakes (no Brembo) and was trying to figure out which would be the best upgrade option. I have the OEM 5-Star rims that come with the '05 TL...would I need to change them if i go with Brembos (or some other bigger/better brakes)?

Thanks

Depends on how much you want to spend:

400 dollars should get you some new Racing Brake rotors and high performance Pads for the fronts

1000+ dollars should get you a stoptech or rotora BBK for the front of the car
2000+ should get you a Rotora BBK for the rear of the car.

For both of these you will need wheel spacers, but all will fit inside the rim

If you want the best stopping power, you will need to upgrade to 20 inch rims and get:
the RL 8 piston 15 inch rotor BBK and adapt it to the TL, it will make your face hurt when stopping.

ROTORA also has some great OE size performance slotted and drilled/slotted rotors. Combine them with a good pad and some stainless steel brake lines, MOTUL brake fluid and your braking will be significantly improved.
