how much hp does the tl have at the wheel?
how much would adding a AEM CAI increase the hp?
what other mods could you do besides throwing on a pipe could u do to increase hp?
what about a chip?

 

there is no chip for the TL.

goto AEM.com and look at the dyno results for their cai.

the exhaust will add about as much.

thats about all u can do to make it faster without gutting it or getting carbon fiber rims. lol

there are plenty of handling upgrades available but unless u get nos or pop for the supercharger when it is released, or if.

 

You missed opening up the engine for porting, polishing, balancing, and blue-printing. Any reputable shop can do it for an arm and a leg.

You can also call Hondata to see if they can trick the ECU. They did it for the TL that Team Honda Research ran at Thunderhill.

 

there is threads that have already asked hondata and they dont and dont plan to make a chip.

and if u are going to port polish a damn luxery car u should have bought a z or something.

 

i bought it because its a sport car that wishes it was a luxury car :p

 

Think about this: There is just NO way any Z can take 4 people anywhere faster than a TL.

 

It;s FOUR door sedan-- not a sports car . . .

 

so just so i am clear, the only thing under the hood you can do for the TL is CAI??

no...you can get the CAI.

you can also get the hyper voltage ground kit. its questionable as to how much this adds to ur engine if really anything except for reliability and so forth.

after that u can get a catback exaust. someone MIGHT make headers for the tl but i doubt it.

so...

the only sure fire hp upgrades u can get is CAI catback hypervoltage/ground port/polish and the supercharger when it comes out from comptech.

outside of that there isn't much u can do.

 

Is about 220 on the wheel for AT donno about the MT the AEM CAI can add 20 HP at 6000-6300 RPM and the Average is about 7-10 hp at 1500-5000 RPM is pertty good u should add it i have it on my WDP 04 TL(UA6) is very nice

 

another thing you could put on to be subtle is the outlaw engineering throttlebody spacer and intake manifold spacer kits. I don't know what there worth, but I bought them and put them on.
