HONDATA release of adapter kit '04-'06 TL/'03-'07 Accord

http://hondata.com/flashpro_04-06_tl...apter_kit.html
It is official, guys. I was a test vehicle for HONDATA. Needless to say, you get top notch products and excellent customer service from HONDATA! My car runs MUCH smoother now that it is tuned. Don't hesitate, guys! A tuned car is a happy car! ENJOY!

That's awesome man....still pretty spendy though if you combine the flashpro on top of it. Finally we have something!

this is true. You can use the 2007 auto ecu. Those are much more available in salvage yards, and are cheaper than the MT ecu. This should help with cost a little bit

So, $695 for the FP, $400 for adapters, $500 for a new ecu, around $120 to have the dealer program the immobilizer, and then around $500 to have it tuned. At $2200+ I'm not exactly having a tough time curbing my enthusiasm. Especially for the modest gains people are seeing. Mad props to Hondata though for coming through.

Or.... $600 for the FP off the BM (there are several there now) and $150-200 for the ecu on car-part.com. just saying, there's $400 less right there. Yeah you can't get around the adapter price and immobilizer for sure.

I'm not running out to buy it or anything, but it's at least a more reliable option than J&R's disaster, Which was still about $1500 or so, with the entire possibility of never receiving it.

I just bought a ECU off ebay for 70 bucks, my local dealer said they would program the immobilizer for 45 bucks. You need to search around.

Well we knew it wasn't going to be cheap. I think this is going to be a slow project for me but it will be worth it at the end.

Agree props to Hondata and who knows maybe they will find a better route in the future

I have a feeling with the Accords you will see a little more gain compared to the TLS 3.5L which is pretty maxed out from Honda.

Congrats to the guys who can now use this, you will feel a world of difference in your cars!

AFAIK, all 2006 TL's had TPMS. So to clarify, an '06 without Navigation needs just the $350 harness?

Simione, do you have a dyno chart???

how good are the etunes vs dyno tune. I feel like Etunes are more like Street tunes.

I'm sure VIT is good, but you spend all this money, you might as well just spend an extra few hundred for a proper dyno tune.

Ive been working with Vit and my car is definitely running very nicely. I will be retuning after the turbo goes on which will definitely be dyno tuned. For any normal driver a basic VIT tune is a great option.

Why are you going with an auto ecu and not a manual, besides it being harder to find?

cuz you can flash the 07 At ecu to MT, but you have to resoilder 1 IC and bridge two points for it to work with MT

Pretty sure Josh already did a GB when it was first released for the '07-08, but maybe the new influx of potential buyers will warrant another one.

Just a heads up Doug from HONDATA contacted us earlier about this new adapter. Be patient for a few days and we might have an excellent promo to run for AZiners. We've also got some really good news hopefully too.
