HFPC Install Question
Alright,
So I am going to attempt to install the HFPC maybe this weekend or next. I am pretty sure I can do the front with no real issues. I just hear nightmares about the back.
So question is... if I were to have a shop install the rear... would it be ok to drive there with the front HFPC and the rear stock? Thanks.

I don't see why not.
(But you better wait for someone who actually knows what they're talking about.)

are you mechanically inclined? if you can do the front you can do the back. I thought the install was simple, but then again i've been building cars for 10 over ten years. Just make sure you spray some pb blaster on the nuts before hand and take out the o2 sensors before you take out the cats.
I dont understand why people dont do that and poke a hole in their radiator.
Whenever you're doing the rear, take out the strut bar, move the power steering hose out the way, take off the heat shields from the cat, and work from the passenger side of the car.
pm me if you need anymore help

The rear is just hardwork....there is nothing to it....
you can drive with just 1 HFC and that will not be a problem....i drove with just 1 PCD for a month
For the front:
Passenger side fan comes out
the rest is piece of cake
For the rear:
Strut bar comes out
lot of wiggle wiggle
Mine came out from the top (a lot of people have had the rear come out of the bottom)
the HFC the install of the rear will be a lot of wiggle wiggle as well...since its not as skinny as the PCD's....
get ready for some nicks and cuts and bruises....

^^ I agree with Round3.. if you can do the front, at least TRY for the rear. Your halfway done, might as well try your best instead of wasting money at a shop. I'm telling you, I aint much of a mechanic and I did it myself with basic tools. It's just time consuming for the rear, you must have patience.

I would gladly do a DIY video of this, however this is my first time, so not sure if that will be too effective. I will definitely do one next time I switch it back out

So i finished installing the front cat. Man I'm slow... took me like 4 hours... ugh. Anyway, no difference in sound or performance... probably because I only got 1 high flow cat :P
