Unhappy Help with AEM V2 installation.

Hi guys,

I'm currently doing the AEM v2 install on my Type-S. I'm currently installing the AEM V2 now since I've already removed the PITA resonator and stock air filter.

My question is regarding the hose connection. I know one tube from the intake to the rear of the engine.

I'm guessing the other tube is coolant from the throttle body and back to the engine area. Can I reuse the oem tube and just connect it from the engine to the throttle body? The last tube is a PITA to get out and I'm not sure how my fat hand will plug it back in if i did remove it and use the AEM tube.

Please let me know. I'm stuck on this now

I just installed an injen cai on my base and agree that the hose towards the firewall is a PITA to take out. You're going to need to yank on it pretty good, at least that's what i had to do. Just make sure the clamp is not on the pipe outlet of the engine. As for the other two hoses, you can either get something to reconnect them, which was inluded in the injen package. The other option is to measure the length you need to connect the two coolant outlets together, and go to an auto parts store and buy that size and length of tubing. I can email you pics, if you need some.

I only ended up replacing 1 tube, which was the crankcase ventilation tube.

The other tube that bring coolant from the TB back to the system is the tube i didn't replace. Instead I just used the oem tube since it was much easier than replacing the tube.

Drove around a little, nothing wrong. Can't see anything wrong with that. Anyone care to chime in?

Basically, if you see below. I'm using a tube to connect the two yellow points right? Only difference is I'm using a much shorter tube (OEM tube from the engine to the metal dual tube) instead of the very long one that was provided with the intake.

Yes, that looks right. The other tube should connect to your intake.

On the TL base, I used the supplied tube to connect the CAI to, what you referred to as the crankcase ventilation fitting. I hope the image comes through since it's my first attempt at posting a pic.
