Has anyone gone back to stock intake ??

I just recently converted my K&N CAI to a short ram intake, due to the upcoming weather, rain and what not. And now my wife sometimes drives the car and i dont want to be thingking about puddles and hydrolocking constantly . One thing i found out with the Cai in its SRI mode is that when rain falls or i wash the car, at least from what it seems to me, the water is dripping trough the hood gap onto the filter i think. So i dont know if i should be worried or maybe i should just extend the the tube again and make it a CAI which would be much easier then going back to stock.

Im in kind of a dilema here

im not to concerned about water really but more so that its washing out the oil over time and decreases filtration i would assume....

NO PROBLEMS AT ALL....

many people have gone back to stock since apparently the CAI didnt give them the gains they had expected

but yeah bottom line...no problems...

Personally, I would switch to a dry flow AEM filter and call it a day.

What exactly did you do to convert it to an SRI? Just hack off part of the intake??

^i think it comes as 2 in one.

add a piece of pipe and clamp and it becomes a longer CAI.
remove the clamp and longer pipe and you get the picture.
