I just got my evo 2 can't wait to get back to the states and have a chance to put it on. I miss the hell out of my car...

 

It is fun to install. I am washing my car this Sunday (it has been freezing down here and the warmest day is Sunday) and I will post pics after my wash.

I keep mine Polished and shinny!!!! u should do the same bc alot of people dont take care of it and the exhaust starts to look all crappy

 

I know, the pics in this thread were like 2 days after I installed it and that scratch looking thing was like black dust. After a wash they came out clean. I was thinking about getting some called Barkeeper's Bestfriend or something for the exhaust.

 

When going thru drive-thru's i hear a realy nice purr. THEN again I have jpipe race pipe intake etc. you definitely hear an increase and no drone. cops do not bother me as if they would if i have the evo2. I have the HKS carbon TI on my sti and got three tickets.

 

I have gone by many cops and nothing yet.

I did have the Comptech Exhaust, so how are you assuming I don't...

I sold it because I have to basically take car of my niece and nephews on a daily basis (they are really young so I don't want anything waking them up or bothering them). I sold it to RonJonTL57.

The Comptech doesn't sound stock, it doesn't sound ricey or loud as fuck. It is just perfect for any person. ATLP has very nice exhaust, along with XLR8, Greddy EVO, but none of them have the same sound as that Comptech I had. I know, I've driven in each of the exhaust listed. Nonetheless, the Comptech is first, and my friend's custom exhaust is closely second.

 

Agreed I have the comptech and I love it...When driving I do not get an annoying drone like my old car (2.5" out a fart can with 36" of resonator) and when I get on it it does make a noticeable exhaust pitch. It is NOWHERE near a stock exhaust system....I know this since I have raced my friends bone stock TL with a stock system on.

 

The drone was a little annoying at the beginning, but now I don't mind it.

 

Congrats! I loved my GReddy. You'll have drone all the way up to 2800rpm and/or 78mph if you're 6MT.

 

Avoid Barkeepers friend. I use it in the kitchen but it is a bit abrasive in my experience. I highly reccomend getting some Eagle One Nevr Dull. Its a wadding polish. You just tear off a piece of the wadding and rub it on your exhaust till its all nice and shiny then buff the surface with a soft cloth.

Hey trance, I was wondering if you could make this into a DIY and add it to the 3G garage. My installation process on page two is universal. I havbe also received some pm's on how useful the DIY I made was.

 

Should be able to. I know they carry it at Autozone and Advanced Auto.

 

I got back from O'Riley like an hour ago. They had it. I also got the Eagle One Nano Wheel Polish. I figured same brand=same high quality...I will apply some on this weekend and maybe post some pics up in this thread.

 

You could have gotten it at wal mart for cheaper just sayin =D. As long as that wal mart has a tire/oil lube change deal just sayin.

 

It was a little under 10 bucks including tax total, so it was pretty decent pricing.
