haha...but for real they are cool and a cheap mod if you wanna call it that. Looks nice in the engine bay if you have one with the shrouds removed. More effective if you really drive long term and hard where the pressure might acutally build up to the point where they might overflow

so my uncle is a machinist and i drew a template using cardboard for a strut bar plate. we're using 1/4" steel and the three studs from the strut mount plate. hopefully i'll have the plate later today. then i'll see how it fits. after i fit it, i'll post the template online. i'm using a tanabe rsx strut bar and i'm making my own mounting plate. i'm sure it would be a lot more convenient using the greddy, but for some reason i have an issue with just the two bolts that greddy uses. tanabe uses three, and it allows for an adjustable preload on the bar. the design looks better and feels better. that's just me. i'll let you guys know how it goes. i'm not trying to make an enterprise, so i'll post the template up for the rest of you guys to share. you just gotta know a good welder and metalworker to help fabricate these things. i'll be in touch.

If you use the greddy bar it will be possible to use four or five studs if you weld a circle to the bottom of the endplates.

Is it just me?...

After i installed the Greddy bar I couldn't reinstall my Carbon Fiber engine plenum cover. You can see Accuratein's engine cover clearly touching/rubbing the Greddy bar in the picture.

Are you guys trimming these things back to keep them from rubbing?

Dude... what do you want to know?
If you're OK with only using 1 mounting point per side, then it's a 10 minute install. Just unbolt the 6 nuts and the 2 screws holding all the plastic shit to the stock bar, and bolt this one on.

If you want to use BOTH mounting holes as designed, you have to remove the front struts, drill 1 hole on each strut tower, replace the front stut top hat from that of a 7th Gen Accord and bolt it back togther.

There's absolutley no reason to do this mod though... I think it's probably a bit "weaker" in design than the stock bar. Almost anyone running the Greddy bar does so because it's the only bar out there that will allow you to install Tein's EDFC motors. The alternative is to cur the stock bar to allow for the motors to fit, but that weakens the stock bar greatly.

I no of NOONE here running a DC Sports upper bar.

Use a little searching on this topic, especially before you order stuff.

If you ordered the DC Sports strut bar intended for an 03 Accord then yes it will fit. Any other application not so much.

Let us know how the install goes once you receive the bar.

Believe it or not i have misplaced that engine cover and that sucker is no where to be found. I miss it and have no idea where it could be.

...but when it was one the engine that strut bar would sit flush on top of the cover so i'm not sure why its not working with your CF one.

haha you know i'm way to lazy to take the struts out just to install some accord hats. The car handles like a Ferrari Enzo FXX son. (not really but i can pretend.)

...Guess what type of Cusco product i'm about to install? You'll never guess but it's inside the cabin.

So no one is going to guess what it might be. They're sitting inside the car right now and tomorrow i will be figuring out how to bolt them to the frame.

For those concerned with the lack of mounting points, there is more to be had with this greddy strut bar. Simply find two metal rings that will fit around the strut hole, and then drill the respective holes for the studs in the rings. Next, have the rings welded to the bottom of the greddy strut base. Paint the new base, and voila!

Attn Greddy Performance:

This could be done easily: Add some endplates to the current Accord strut bar that look like this...

If you make it, they will buy. (If you build it, they will come)
