golfjwr does his exhaust right.... ATLP-J pipe/race pipe/ATLP quad exhaust
Jesse came over last night and the guy knows what he wants and man does he have the modding bug. The guy has been infected with the bug since I met him. Well, he has good taste in the exhaust he picked. He got the ATLP exhaust about two months ago and what do you know, two months later, he completes it with a J-pipe and race pipe. We also updated his blinkers with v-leds and the backup lights.
Jesse, thanks for bringing the 12 pack...It made our work a lot more enjoyable.
Here are a ton of before and after photos.
Let the modding begin.
Old j-pipe and 3rd cat coming out............
Love this engine bay.....
Old to new
How stealth can you be...Take the cat housing off and put it on the race pipe to make it look like it's the oem cat......Smart...
Jesse bolting it up......
The full ATLP complete.....
I have video of the exhaust note that I am uploading to youtube and will post it up here.

Soon I will have
First, let me start out by giving a HUGE thanks to Jon(mmade22) for the all the help last night, it was a ton of fun! Talking about doing things right...your garage is the stuff that dreams are made of my friend. I reall yhad an awesome time bloting all that stuff up and having Alex hanging around as well, seems like a mond would not be complete without him there talking cars with us. One really quick side note that I have to tell you guys. When we took the wheels off last night to get to the turn signals in the front I was inspecting my aspec kit and front bumper. At first I was oh shit, is that a crack in the paint??? Turns out that while I have had my car for well over 3 months I found a very cool suprise last night. My aspec kit and front bumper have a very well installed(possibly factory) invisable bra. Good things the boys over at Hendrick Acura didn't....they probably would have jacked the price up even more. Back the to set up, the noise in the cabin was greatly reduced, however the car sounds even more more amazing when the gas is applied. Mike, you have outdone yourself my friend, once again ATLP is right on the mark. The car darts off the line in the low end and feels like a rocket past 5000rpm. Thank you againto Jon for the use of your garage, the pizza and of course showing me how to do all this awesome stuff!

Good stuff. Congrats on the install. Wish I lived in NC just so I could try and get into mmade's garage for some installs!
We basically have the same setup now. Although, I think I'm changing out my race pipe. I'm surprised to hear that adding the j-pipe and race pipe greatly reduced your cabin noise, I would have thought the opposite. I installed my whole atlp setup at once so I don't have a frame of reference. Since you have the same setup, let me know how much drone you get while cruising once you've put some miles on it.
The video sounds sick btw.

Wow, that was fast. I thought we just talked about this as a possibility about a week ago.
The J-Pipe definelty tones down the volume in the cabin.
After installing the J-pipe I also noticed that the car flys through thru revs once it hits VTEC.

Soon I will have
I had been thinking about doing this set up ever since we bolted on the quad. Once I talked to you and some other guys I knew that to get the most out of the exhaust this set up was a must.

Looks and sounds good. I was about to pick up an ATLP race pipe from a member in Matthews last week, but decided not to at the last minute. Oh well. Enjoy the new set up. I noticed a huge difference when I installed my a-pipe (j-pipe).

haha! You weren't messing around when you said you've got some plans for your Type S.
Glad you guys had a good time in Jon's garage. There is never a dull moment in there.

Thanks! I am always willing to help the local NC crew out. I know what it is like to not have a place to work on the car and not have the right tools for the job. Jesse, Bearcat, Eric.....All of these guys are good guys who return the favor. What goes around, comes around.
Illustrious, if you are ever in NC, my garage is open to you with a comment like that!
