Getting the mid muffler deleted tomorrow!

After watching the you tube vids showing the sound of the TL after the mid muffler delete, I was impressed with the sound, although Im still a little nervous considering I've only heard the sound on the internet and not in person. I really hope it is worth the $65 I am being charged to do the job!! Just wanted my car to have a little more sportier sound to it, kinda like the G35's and 350Z's!

Just deleting the mid-muffler won't give your car that sound. You will notice a more audible tone from inside the car more so than outside. If you try listening to the exhaust with the windows down, you'll hear more engine and wind noise over the exhaust. You'll need a different resonator to give it that G35ish sound.

yeah, I guess Im just going to have to do it in steps, just start with the mid muffler delete and do the resonator later, do you have an aftermarket resonator and if so which one?

My exhaust is as follows:

RV6 V3 J-Pipe, mid muffler delete, and Dynomax 24235 resonator. I love the sound of it. Not too loud, no drone, and no rasp.

Doing it in increments is a good idea so you can see what you like without overdoing it. Sucks to have to spend more money each time, but it is basically trial and error. I have videos of what my exhaust sounds like in my progress thread.

Ebelp and Undying Dreams also have videos of this setup n their threads, but neither have an aftermarket j-pipe. I rode in Ebelp's car today and it sounds just like mine.

I don't have the middle muffler right now and I love it. I honestly thought about going Stage 2 or 3 afterwards, but this is loud enough. I can definitely hear it around 2-3k RPM's when I shift.

Sorry been busy, but I picked my TL up today and I Love the sound! It is perfect for me,not to loud and not too quiet. I dont think I will add anymore to the exhaust, although I might change my mind in the future. But for now it sounds just right to me!!
