Future Mod Suggestions

In my 2008 5at Acura TL I have a Weapon R SRI, ATLP V2 J Pipe, Third cat delete, and the Tanabe Medallion cat back. I'm lost when it comes to more mods I should do to it. I'm not trying to go crazy over board with it but I raced an S2000 AP1 from 30-75ish and I was at his back bumper by the end of it with two people in my car, I didn't even expect to stand a chance so either I'm making more power than I think or he just really sucks at shifting. So I'm looking for just a little extra "easy horsepower"! I know I need to get rid of that SRI and it's definitely going soon. I'm interested in others experiences with things like installing PCDS or CAI. Any advice is appreciated!

Upgrade your intake manifold, throttle body, and runners by either going ported or getting the 3.7 IM and TB. Also since you are a 2008 model, consider getting Hondata. Don't expect too much since you are a 5AT, but these should help move her much quicker than before.

Considering you have yet to do the three best N/A mods, (PCDs or HFPC, 3.7 top swap with 4" intake, and Hondata) there's decent power still on the table.

The PCD's interest me but it seems like a lot of work without having a lift. And I'd also have to put the stock cats back on later this year to pass emissions

hell just putting your stock intake on would be a 'mod' over that shitty SRI

I highly recommend getting out XLR8 crank pulley to free up some extra power (roughly 5-10). It's an easy bolt on that will be reliable and noticeable.

I also agree you should swap out the SRI with a Cold Air system such as our XLR8 AEM V2 intake. You will definitely see better gains from a true cold air system!

Feel free to PM me with any questions and I can also see what we can do to get the shipping down. As others have mentioned, HFPC's will provide some great power and there's more to be done on the intake side including P2R throttle body spacer and intake mani spacer.

Forgive me I'm new here

But what does this mean HFPC, 3.7 top swap with 4" intake what do you mean exactly where I say that. I'm also looking to add some more power to my car but I have a 2004 Acura tl not sure if that changes anything .

^high flow (pre) cats....they replace your main catalytic converters with HIGH flowing cats....so, you'll get an increase of power.

you have a 3.2l TL....the Intake manifold is made to flow a certain air volume...by replacing it with a 3.7l intake manifold, you're getting a lot more flow of air....

our stock intake is like 3 inches and it tapers down to 2 inches....if you get an 4 inch intake ALL around, yep, you guessed it... MORE AIR

p.s. an engine is basically a big air pump...the more air you have the more power you'll get...(generally)

3.7 intake, ZDX throttle body and MDX cams. You'd need to be pretty mechanically inclined for that.

Otherwise, high flow pre-cats, lighter wheels and a 50 shot of nitrous.

Thanks I am decently enclined , but my brother has been a mechanic at a shop since he was like 9 so I will probably team up with him to get it done.
