There is a Fujita CAI MA-1006 for sale on Ebay for $174 with FREE SHIPPING!! Send him an offer of $150, I bet he will take it!!
You know........the AEM or Fujita CAI's AREN't model specific for the Type S.........but it should work. I am thinking IF there was a CAI for the Type S.......it might make more TQ/HP. ??

Isn't there a vehicle with similar size to the TL's intake?
Couldn't we just purchase an AEM V2 for another car [with closest size to our intake manifold] and modify it to fit--after relocating or resizing the battery?

PS..I still dont understand how we have a million "CAI" threads and they're all 3+ pages..

How big of a difference is the location of the filter when installed between the Fujita and AEM? I was talking to a local shop and they told me that the Fujita is pretty much like a short ram and the AEM is much longer and will draw cooler air. Is this correct? They also said that the AEM tube is painted with some type of paint that repels heat and the Fujita is not.
Can you guys clear these two things up for me. It was the first time I have heard either of those two remarks.
Thanks

Both look pretty much IDENTICAL to me. I have used an AEM CAI on my 350z, I thought it made a nice sound, but not too much extra power.
With ANY CAI, you can always wrap it in heat reducing tape.........but it makes it look like crap........but it works.
I would think BOTH AEM & FUJITA would be very close to each other in design & performance gains.

just installed Fujita CAI and I love it, to those of you who did it without taking the front bumper off kudos to you cause we had to take the bumper off, i dont know how you did it without taking it off...my question is has anyone heard of an Aqua Net? Supposedly it goes over the filter to prevent water from going through. I have heard of a similiar concept called a bypass valve, but this is a new one to me...anyone out there use an Aqua Net or heard of it?

the thing about the "problem" I had is the instructions say it loud and clear I have to relocate a ground wire forward and use the location of that ground wire for the vibramount.. I didnt follow the instructions so I was rolling around with a driver side fog light out for 2 months
as for the water repellant sock... injen makes one... I think they sell for like $25... 3.25" for aem 3.5" for fujita... I would buy a slightly larger one and wrap the top with a zip tie... water repellant doesnt mean it wont suck up water if submerged

relocate the ground wire to the forward hole just to be on the safe side you don't want ur car to get struck by lightning with you in it... you will get electricuted
no but seriously if are using the vibramount with the same location as the groundwire it will not interfere with the foglight... but do relocate that ground wire...
