Fujita CAI Question

I am interested in putting a CAI on my 08 TL-S. I also plan on installing the P2R Spacer. I have read in a few posts that the Fujita has problems with clearance...with the fog light. Is this limited to Fujita. Is there a fix to this problem? I know that there are numerous threads about CAI's, but I couldn't find much guidance on this particular situation. If the clearance issue is really that big of a deal, I will just spend a couple of extra bucks for the AEM. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not trying to sway you either way, but I have a P2R TB Spacer and an AEM CAI, and I got them both to fit, with some minor wiggling. The vibration mount isn't fully on (meaning tight), but I've had the spacer for a couple months now and the vibration mount hasn't budged. Just use this as a reference, since you now know for sure that the AEM CAI and the P2R TB Spacer do in fact fit, with some minor fitting!

You're the man!!! What type of performance gains have you noticed?

I am going to PM Excelerate right now to buy that setup...sounds like the only way to go. What are your feelings?

if you go with fujita you will be ok, I found this out after I cut the tube, you have to relocate a ground wire and use the vibra mount there, the intake will be about 10mm away from the fog light

I noticed, between the two, the most gains from the TB Spacer. It definitely gives you more low-end torque. The intake is great, and it sounds great, but I think I noticed a difference in sound the most, to be honest, lol, but I'm not complaining! . Regarding the intake, though, you immediately notice the difference in the gas pedal.

Just a suggestion, but it will benefit you to reset your ECU as soon as you get your mods done. I recommend that this be done after every performance mod. You can find instructions on it by doing a search!

Yeah stillhere153, all of the intakes will work (Fujita, Injen, AEM) with the P2R TB Spacer, but there are no extra modifications necessary with the AEM.

Thank you guys for the responses. I think I will probably just go with the AEM, since it sounds the simplest...and most popular choice among members of this forum. I am going to get both from Excelerate. Does anyone have experience with the TB thermal gaskets? I think I am going to go ahead and get the whole package, but I was curious what other members thought about them.

The Throttle Body thermal gaskets are necessary to make a seal. If you don't use them then you need OE gaskets. However, the P2R gaskets are made out of a proprietary heat-resistant material which reduces heat transfer from the intake system to the plenum or vice versa.
