I was thinking about replacing the two rear mufflers with single chamber flow master mufflers (recycle the exhaust tips-non type s) I dont want it to be obnoxious or ricey, im going for a more G-35/g-37 ish sound. I already have deleted my resonator and have a CAI. If anyone has replaced their rear mufflers (resonator delete or not), your input would be much appreciated

 

I had a single flowmaster 40 series where the mid muffler goes and everything else straight piped. It was pretty damn loud but had a nice deep tone; a nice rumble kind of loud, like the american muscles. Lots of people were trippin out and complimented me on how my tl sounded. Had lots of drone but no rasp, I had one magnaflow resonator with the set-up.

Took it out and swapped to HKS carbon ti mufflers cuz they were getting too loud for my taste and I wanted straight through mufflers. Flowmasters are chambered.

 

I just put 40 series flowmaster on my 04 TL. Honestly didn't like it sounds to much like a muscle car. I'd recommend manga flow they aren't ass load and give a nice deep tone.

 

It will sound good but drone, after I put a FM on this car I had to add a second resonator as well.

 

any clips? I did the stage 3 and I love the sound, looking for more volume though. Been wondering about flowmasters myself but I really don't want drone.

 

Had one on an '85 Celica, sounded okay I guess. There are better choices though.

 

I have a 2003 I don't want anything that sounds like a pissed off bee myself lol I'm down for a muscle car sound.. did you replace intake manifold too.?
