There are too many variables there to answer that question for you. Make sure the maintenance is done and the car is still running well. If it is, then yes...engines don't know how many miles they have, only humans do.
Oh, and Dom is the man.

and I'm back...
after a bit of a hiccup that made me decide to pull flashpro...I drove the car with the oem map for a few days before realizing that now that I've tasted the fine fine juice of the Gods...I can no longer enjoy this car without.

You would need to get an 07 AT ECU for it to work, but it would be pointless bc your car is an AT. Flashpro wouldn't be the best bang for the buck unless you've got forced induction. Yeah the car is more responsive, but if you're looking for a cheaper mod I would do something else.

I'll bite.
First - these are the mods I have that are engine/drivetrain related:
currently PCDs (HFPC's were on at the time of my dyno tune, though)
jpipe
atlp v2 quads
unorthodox UDP
aem v2 intake
3.7 manifold/TB (bored)
comptech short throw
slave cylinder check-valve delete
General thoughts - Flashpro is awesome. Best mod I've done for my car. Most people think my gains are worthless and make no difference, but they're stupid so I disregard most of it. Rev hang had always been an issue, and after 3.7 install there were some quirks with idle and tip-in. The car just overall ran rough. With the Flashpro, got 98% of that to go away.
Fuel economy hasn't changed for me. I still average 21-23 mpg.
Gains
I have a thread with my dyno chart but it is roughly 8 whp / 6 wtq at peak, and somewhere around 20 whp where vtec dip is eliminated. Power delivery smoothed on the chart all the way up the RPM band.
Performance
The car drives much better now. Tip-in is the only issue that remains, and MOST of that has been eliminated because Flashpro does come with facilities to tune that. Idle is perfect, powerband has smoothed out, the car sounds better, starts better in the cold, and shifts better with rev-hang being eliminated. It pulls harder than it did before, and it's winter here so I have 0 traction beyond half throttle. I am waiting for warm pavement and sticky tires to get the full effects of everything I've done. I can say, however, I've gone up against several cars on the freeway and pulling from 50 to 115 is smooth as butter.
Tuning
King Motorsports dyno tuned my car, and I've been data logging more for the past couple weeks to basically verify what they tuned. They are a premier shop so I trust them, but I like to see what's going on under the hood when I rip on the gas pedal. I paid $300 for my dyno tune and am very happy with it because under WOT my car runs better than ever now. I have 3 modes of driving: either i'm bumper-to-bumper in rush hour, cruising at highway speeds, or flooring it to pass someone. I don't do a lot of driving from one street light to the next where I care about a "daily driving" tune that you get from an etune. It's pretty much the last thing I'm concerned with.
What I would like to see from others
More modded TLs showing gains so that we can at least get a sense of what the "average" gain that should be expected is. Then it would be nice to see what a stock TL would gain from the flashpro. If a stock TL makes larger gains, then that will tell us something about how effective the ECU is at auto-adjusting to our cars as we mod them.

Hey! I know this is an old post but I live in Hartland, too. I see that you no longer have your Type S but I am curious if you would like to get together for a bit. I would like to talk to you about the Flashpro, your 3.7 install and experiences with King Motorsports.
I have a 07 Type S 6spd with 66k. FINALLY, after 2 years I picked it up last year Sept. I then put it away for winter.
I currently have installed:
ATLP V2-R Jpipe, ATLP Resonated Quad, AEM CAI, Royal Purple HPS 5w30, Michelin Pilot Super Sports, GM Tranny Fluid (Never had issues with 3rd gear but I decided to use this fluid anyways)
Let me know if you would like to meet up for a beer or something?

I too am now a believer.
I was not sure if I wanted to make this purchase and mess with the factory tuning.
Not until SLPR04UA6 talked me into doing it.
Convinced me that he had done a lot of research and that Dom would be able to tune it. For me.
All I can say is wow!
No I did not get and extra 50hp or tourqe, it just runs so much smoother.
the throttle is so responsive In the lower RPM’s.
Yes, it does feel weird not having the VTEC surge at 4-5k but it so much better having even power through the hole acceleration.
i still some logs to send him but I have not been disappointed so far.
Dom has been great to work with and usually turns around the maps in a day or less.

Because we don't have i-Vtec in the J series , the K series is able to vary the angle of the intake cam on top of VTEC in the performance versions. They are able to degree cams anywhere from 25 to 50 degrees.
