Fixing Useless HFPC

So long story short I have a set of E Shift High Flow Cats that are useless because the cells are loose which causes a code to be thrown. Can I go an cut the flanges off and weld them onto a different pair of High Flow Cats that are around the same dimension?

I'm surprised that you have E-Shift cats! Most of them were sold when they first came out and many of them were blown out in pieces by the S/C guys. The ended up just being catless and called it a day!

You could take off the flanges and put on another cat, but in all honesty why even waste the money? Get some pre-cat deletes and sell off the e-shift one. Keep your 3rd one if you want to reduce some of the scent.

Not interested in going with PCDs. Gotta stay emissions legal, don't want the rasp or the smell. I got em off an accord guy that failed to mention the issues. I don't have much in em now and don't think I'd have too much more if I did replace the cats. Just wanna know if it is possible or if the precats are any different the the third cat. Thanks for the idea though

Richie will be releasing (or it's already out) high flow PCD's. Look for them.
