Finally Getting CAI AEM or Injen PLEASE Vote

I've finally decided that my 07 TL Type S atleast needs some kind of mod lol.

I've decided on either AEM or Injen and all you smart ppl out there can help me decide.

It's SORT OF a family car so i don't really need crazy vroom vroom sound.. as well as low whistling sound. Upon reading ppl said that INJEN is good for low whistling sound and then i read an article today here saying AEM is good so i am back to square one. Also don't want something that is going to stick out too much underneath the car. I've seen usual installs and they look fine. I live in Vancouver BC where it rains a lot too

Not too crazy vrooom vroom sound.. low whistle
quite a bit of rain where i live
nothing that is going to stick out too much underneath (i've seen the sandiego's install videos and that is i plan to do

AEM OR INJEN??????????????????????????

Well from the criteria, I would go with the Injen unit. I think you'll like it.

Personally, I don't think there is a real diff. b/w either of them...I would say that the AEM is louder when the VTEC kicks in. I have the Injen..whistles around 1.5k to 2.5k rpm, I like it.

They're both going to make vroom vroom noises under heavy throttle. Maybe you should reconsider buying one? I wouldn't worry about rain unless you encounter flooded out roads on a regular basis.

I went for the injen but you could always go with a drop in k and n with the resonator delete

Fujita seems to be the prefered CAI around here. I've only owned K & N on my trucks and Vette in the past.

The fit and finish of the AEM is amazing. It was perfectly designed and bolted in as if Acura had made the thing. This is such a subjective question to ask because everyone who bought either one will vouch for the one they bought- like me! The AEM is quite loud at VTEC and has a slight whistle at throttle tip-in.

As much as I'd say that AEM is the way to go, it sounds the the injen is quieter, which might be better for your situation.

Don't get either of them, get a J-pipe from J-shift or ATLP, it'll take a couple weeks for them to manufacture more of them since the demand is huge, but they're only $390 and the gains are better than what you'll get from an intake.

Also they don't there is no increase in exhaust noise, which is a great plus.

Huh? I disagree, adding a CAI along with a J-pipe would be more benificial!

Well I was suggesting a J-pipe instead of the CAI, of course both would be best!
